Paper Review Oral Presentations:

Although not required, you will probably want to prepare slides. You are welcome to copy illustrations, graphs, pictues, tables, etc. from the paper as part of your presentation (high-quality) screen dumps will probably suffice for this.

We have 20 minutes allocated for each paper (minus a couple of minutes to move from one presenter to the next). Ideally, approximately have of the time will be used for your prepared comments and the other half for class discussion.

In your presentation it is your job to review the technical contributions of the paper and discuss its strengths and weaknesses (you can roughly follow the guidelines for preparing written reviews). However, you also need to consider and present thought provoking questions that will lead to discussion. You will also need to manage the discussion in class and make sure we stay on schedule.

If you are not experienced giving presentation, before class, you may want to practice what you are going to say

Please post your presentation slides to the website before class. Instructions for doing this will come later. Otherwise, mail them to me
